Todays Photography Technique is how to get a very easy BUT Dramatic portrait.

This technique is using the First Curtain Flash Synch Setting found on several of the digital SLR cameras and SLR film cameras.

Using this setting alows you to blur the background and then make the Person in the photo sharp.

As you can see by the photo below - I used this technique with my cat. This was totally done in camera with not photoshopping at all.  A Quick, easy way to get a dramatic portrait.
