I just saw this on James Duncan Davidson Blog: That there is a new Canon 50mm Lens.
I have to Second or Third it that I would love to get my hands on one of these new lens for my Canon.
Since the 50mm is one of the lens that I use quite a bit this new “Canon EF 50mm f1.2L USM” should be pretty impressive.
To quote James: It has a Micro-USM motor instead of the standard Ring USM.

Ever want to try out a new lens for your digital camera? But then you saw the price and had sticker shock?
Well RentGlass.com to the rescue - They rent lens for Canon and Coming Soon (July 20th) Nikon.
Now here is the good news and the bad news. The good news is the price for the rental is not that bad. You can get a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens for $20 a week or as low as $12 a week if you rent it for 3 weeks. Not too bad if you want a lens to play around with. Now the bad news. The store is in very short supply of lens and when I looked there was only one lens currently in stock. This is not good if you wanted to rent a telephoto for next weeks camping trip to Maine.
