You have to check out OutbackPhoto Tutorial on how to take Control Over Depth of Field. This Photoshop Technique is using Adobe Photoshop CS and The Lens Blur Filter. The Results he gets in the photos are amazing and very realistic and really adds somthing to the composition of the photograph.

Now this is not a technique you will be using with every since photography but on the right one - it really will make the image POP!
